SENATE BILL NO. 3016

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE TOWN OF METCALFE TO 1
DEFRAY EXPENSES FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE TOWN'S WATER AND SEWER 2
SYSTEM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2027. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much thereof as may be 5
necessary, is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Capital 6
Expense Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Town of Metcalfe 7
to defray expenses for the improvement of the town's water and 8
sewer system for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and 9
ending June 30, 2027................................. $ 748,750.00. 10
SECTION 2. The money appropriated in this act shall be paid 11
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the Capital Expense 12
Fund not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 13
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his 14
warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or 15
officers in the manner provided by law. 16
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 17
and after July 1, 2026. 18
