SENATE BILL NO. 3018

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY 1
PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2027. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 3
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much thereof as may be 4
necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State 5
General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Sustainable Energy 6
Partnership Program, an agreement between Jackson State University 7
College of Science, Engineering and Technology and Entergy 8
Mississippi, L.L.C., for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, 9
and ending June 30, 2027........................... $ 4,300,000.00. 10
SECTION 2. The money herein appropriated shall be paid by 11
the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund not 12
otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal 13
Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants 14
upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers 15
in the manner provided by law. 16
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 17
and after July 1, 2026. 18
