SENATE BILL NO. 3138
AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE TOWN OF BOLTON, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS TO CERTAIN STRUCTURES FOR THE FISCAL 3
YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Town of Bolton, 8
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with 9
infrastructure improvements to certain structures for the fiscal 10
year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027............. 11
................................................... $ 2,750,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of 13
Section 1 of this act, the following amounts are to be allocated 14
as follows: 15
To defray costs of repair of, 16
renovation of, and 17
improvements to the 18
city's town hall.......................... $ 1,500,000.00 19

ST: General Fund; FY2027 appropriation to the
Town of Bolton for infrastructure improvements
to certain structures.
To defray costs of repair of, 20
renovation of, and 21
improvements to the 22
former Department of 23
Human Services building 24
to convert the building 25
to a community center and 26
multipurpose building..................... $ 1,250,000.00 27
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 28
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 29
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 30
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 31
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 32
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 33
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 34
and after July 1, 2026. 35
