SENATE BILL NO. 3148

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PAT HARRISON WATERWAY 1
DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS AT THE BIG CREEK WATER PARK, INCLUDING 3
PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT, UPGRADES OF ROADS AND PARKING LOTS, AND 4
RENOVATION OF GUEST CABINS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Pat Harrison Waterway 9
District for the purpose of defraying costs associated with 10
infrastructure improvements at the Big Creek Water Park, including 11
purchase of equipment, upgrades of roads and parking lots, and 12
renovation of guest cabins for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 13
2026, and ending June 30, 2027..................... $ 1,350,000.00. 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
