SENATE BILL NO. 3154

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF KOSCIUSKO, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
CERTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS AND PURCHASES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 3
2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City of Kosciusko, 8
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with 9
certain infrastructure projects and purchases for the fiscal year 10
beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027.... $ 1,100,988.00 11
SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of 12
Section 1 of this act, the following amounts are to be allocated 13
as follows: 14
To defray costs of infrastructure 15
improvements, including street 16
paving, stormwater management, 17
sewer and street department 18
equipment and park enhancements............. $ 778,200.00 19

equipping law enforcement 21
vehicles.................................... $ 322,788.00 22
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 23
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 24
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 25
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 26
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 27
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 28
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 29
and after July 1, 2026. 30
