AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF HATTIESBURG, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
IMPROVEMENTS IN THE WSF TATUM BOULEVARD, BONHOMIE ROAD, AND 3
PARKWAY BOULEVARD AREA OF THE CITY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, 4
ROADS, BRIDGES, SEWER, DRAINAGE, SIDEWALKS, STORMWATER DETENTION, 5
LAND ACQUISITION, UTILITY RELOCATION AND LIGHTING FOR THE FISCAL 6
YEAR 2027. 7
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 8
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 9
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 10
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City of Hattiesburg, 11
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with 12
improvements in the WSF Tatum Boulevard, Bonhomie Road, and 13
Parkway Boulevard area of the city, including, but not limited to, 14
roads, bridges, sewer, drainage, sidewalks, stormwater detention, 15
land acquisition, utility relocation and lighting for the fiscal 16
year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027............. 17

SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 19
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 20

not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 21
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 22
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 23
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 24
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 25
and after July 1, 2026. 26
