SENATE BILL NO. 3173

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF PELAHATCHIE, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
CERTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 5
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 6
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City of Pelahatchie, 7
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with 8
certain infrastructure projects for the fiscal year beginning July 9
1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027.................. $ 1,350,000.00. 10
SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of 11
Section 1 of this act, the following amounts are to be allocated 12
as follows: 13
To defray costs of water and waste water infrastructure 14
projects........................................... $ 1,000,000.00. 15
To defray costs of road construction projects................ 16
................................................... $ 350,000.00. 17

ST: General Fund; FY2027 appropriation to the

SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 18
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 19
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 20
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 21
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 22
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 23
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 24
and after July 1, 2026. 25
