SENATE BILL NO. 3202
AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SCOTT COUNTY FOR THE 1
PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH CERTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE 2
PROJECTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 5
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 6
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to Scott County for the purpose 7
of defraying costs associated with certain infrastructure projects 8
for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 9
2027............................................... $ 3,500,000.00. 10
SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of 11
Section 1 of this act, the following amounts are to be allocated 12
as follows: 13
To defray costs of renovations of the 14
county building that houses the 15
Mississippi Department of Child 16
Protection Services...................... $ 1,000,000.00. 17
To defray costs of site development at 18

located in East Scott County.................. $ 2,500,000.00. 20
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 21
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 22
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 23
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 24
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 25
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 26
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 27
and after July 1, 2026. 28
