SENATE BILL NO. 3213
AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE TOWN OF GEORGETOWN, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
CERTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 5
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 6
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Town of Georgetown, 7
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with 8
certain infrastructure projects for the fiscal year beginning July 9
1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027.................. $ 1,030,000.00. 10
SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of 11
Section 1 of this act, the following amounts are to be allocated 12
as follows: 13
To defray costs of the purchase and construction of park 14
equipment and a park pavilion......................... $ 250,000.00 15
To defray costs of the construction of new sidewalks......... 16
...................................................... $ 600,000.00 17

ST: General Fund; FY2027 appropriation to Town
of Georgetown for certain infrastructure
projects.
To defray costs of the purchase of office furniture for the 18
town hall.............................................. $ 20,000.00 19
To defray costs of installation of security cameras at a park 20
and Main Street....................................... $ 100,000.00 21
To defray costs of construction of a pavilion to cover the 22
train located at the intersection of Highway 27 and Highway 28.... 23
....................................................... $ 60,000.00 24
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 25
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 26
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 27
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 28
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 29
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 30
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 31
and after July 1, 2026. 32
