SENATE BILL NO. 3246

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF SHELBY, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
ITS MUNICIPAL BUILDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 3
2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City of Shelby, 8
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with 9
its municipal building improvement project for the fiscal year 10
beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027..... $ 199,928.08. 11
SECTION 2. It is the intent of the Legislature for the City 12
of Shelby to use the funds appropriated in Section 1 of this act 13
as matching funds to draw down federal funds. 14
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
