SENATE BILL NO. 3276

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF MOORHEAD, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
REPAIR AND RENOVATION OF MOORHEAD CITY HALL AND THE EXPANSION AND 3
ADDITION OF A STAND-ALONE POLICE STATION, INCLUDING A JAIL, SALLY 4
PORT AND INCREASED SPACE WITH DEDICATED PARKING FOR THE FISCAL 5
YEAR 2027. 6
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 7
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 8
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 9
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City of Moorhead, 10
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with 11
repair and renovation of Moorhead City Hall and the expansion and 12
addition of a stand-alone police station, including a jail, sally 13
port and increased space with dedicated parking for the fiscal 14
year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027............. 15

SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 17
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 18
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 19
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 20

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 21
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 22
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 23
and after July 1, 2026. 24
