SENATE BILL NO. 3290
AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE AMERICAN LEGION 1
MONTGOMERY GREEN POST #220 IN MOUND BAYOU, MISSISSIPPI, TO ASSIST 2
IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH MAKING REPAIRS AND UPGRADES TO THE 3
AMERICAN LEGION BUILDING AND THE SURROUNDING PROPERTY FOR THE 4
FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the American Legion Montgomery 9
Green Post #220 in Mound Bayou, Mississippi, to assist in paying 10
costs associated with making repairs and upgrades to the American 11
Legion Building and the surrounding property for the fiscal year 12
beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027..... $ 175,000.00. 13
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 14
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 15
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 16
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 17
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 18
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 19

ST: General Fund; FY2027 appropriation to
American Legion Montgomery Green Post #220 for
repairs and upgrades.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 20
and after July 1, 2026. 21
