SENATE BILL NO. 3306

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT 1
OF TRANSPORTATION TO ASSIST THE CITIES OF GAUTIER AND OCEAN 2
SPRINGS, MISSISSIPPI, WITH THE RELOCATION OF UTILITIES ALONG U.S. 3
HIGHWAY 90 IN ORDER TO IMMEDIATELY COMMENCE THE WIDENING PROJECT 4
ON U.S. HIGHWAY 90 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money to the credit of the 8
Mississippi Department of Transportation not otherwise 9
appropriated, to the Mississippi Department of Transportation to 10
assist the Cities of Gautier and Ocean Springs, Mississippi, with 11
the relocation of utilities along U.S. Highway 90 in order to 12
immediately commence the widening project on U.S. Highway 90 for 13
the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 14
2027.............................................. $ 10,000,000.00. 15
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 16
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State Treasury to 17
the credit of the proper fund or funds as set forth in this act 18
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 19

Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 20
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 21
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 22
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 23
and after July 1, 2026. 24
