SENATE BILL NO. 3310
AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO JACKSON COUNTY FOR THE 1
PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH CONSTRUCTION OF A FIRE 2
DEPARTMENT IN WEST JACKSON COUNTY NEAR OLD FORT BAYOU ROAD AND 3
EGLIN ROAD FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to Jackson County for the purpose 8
of defraying costs associated with construction of a fire 9
department in West Jackson County near Old Fort Bayou Road and 10
Eglin Road for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending 11
June 30, 2027........................................ $ 750,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 13
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 14
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 15
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 16
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 17
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 18

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 19
and after July 1, 2026. 20
