SENATE BILL NO. 3315

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO MARSHALL COUNTY FOR THE 1
PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PURCHASE OF 2
EQUIPMENT NEEDED BY ANY MARSHALL COUNTY FIRE SERVICE FOR THE 3
FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to Marshall County for the 8
purpose of defraying costs associated with the purchase of 9
equipment needed by any Marshall County fire service for the 10
fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027...... 11
..................................................... $ 500,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. It is the intent of the Legislature that the 13
funds appropriated in Section 1 of this act be drawn first from 14
any funds remaining from those funds appropriated to Marshall 15
County by Section 28(ih) of Chapter 549, Laws of 2023. 16
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 17
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 18
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 19

Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 20
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 21
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 22
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 23
and after July 1, 2026. 24
