SENATE BILL NO. 3316

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE TOWN OF WALLS, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH A 2
COMPREHENSIVE FLOOD STUDY AND ENGINEERING ASSESSMENT FOR THE TOWN 3
AND THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF DRAINAGE AND ROADWAY PROJECTS 4
IDENTIFIED THROUGH THE STUDY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Town of Walls, 9
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with a 10
comprehensive flood study and engineering assessment for the town 11
and the design and construction of drainage and roadway projects 12
identified through the study for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 13
2026, and ending June 30, 2027..................... $ 1,500,000.00. 14
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2026. 22
