SENATE BILL NO. 3337
AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF HORN LAKE, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
CERTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 5
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 6
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City of Horn Lake, 7
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with 8
certain infrastructure projects for the fiscal year beginning July 9
1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027.................. $ 5,200,000.00. 10
SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of 11
Section 1 of this act, the following amounts are to be allocated 12
as follows: 13
To defray costs of repair and 14
resurfacing city streets................. $ 500,000.00. 15
To defray costs of water infrastructure 16
hardening................................ $ 250,000.00. 17
To defray costs of sewer and 18

drainage improvements.................... $ 750,000.00. 19
To defray costs of residential park 20
improvements and upgrades................ $ 150,000.00. 21
To defray costs of sidewalk expansion 22
and improvement.......................... $ 200,000.00. 23
To defray costs of design and 24
construction of the Horn 25
Lake Community Center.................... $ 1,000,000.00. 26
To defray costs of the construction of 27
a replacement facility for Fire 28
Station Number 1......................... $ 1,000,000.00. 29
To defray costs of the construction 30
of a modern public works 31
facility................................. $ 600,000.00. 32
To defray costs of public works 33
equipment replacement.................... $ 200,000.00. 34
To defray costs of establishing a 35
centralized facility for 36
environmental waste disposal............. $ 300,000.00. 37
To defray costs of installing mast 38
arms for traffic signals and 39
deploying uniform street 40
signage across the city.................. $ 250,000.00. 41
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 42
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 43

not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 44
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 45
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 46
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 47
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 48
and after July 1, 2026. 49
