SENATE BILL NO. 3338
AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF PONTOTOC, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
REPAIRING AND REPAVING ITS CITY STREETS, FOR IMPROVEMENTS AND 3
REPAIRS TO ITS CITY HALL, AND FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO ITS FARMERS 4
MARKET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City of Pontotoc, 9
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with 10
certain infrastructure projects for the fiscal year beginning July 11
1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027.................. $ 2,000,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of 13
Section 1 of this act, the following amounts are to be allocated 14
as follows: 15
To defray costs of repairing and repaving its city streets 16
................................................... $ 500,000.00. 17
To defray costs of improvements and repairs to its city hall 18
................................................... $ 1,000,000.00. 19

ST: General Fund; FY2027 appropriation to the
City of Pontotoc for city street repairs &
improvements to city hall & farmers market.
To defray costs of improvements to its farmers market........ 20
................................................... $ 500,000.00. 21
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 22
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 23
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 24
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 25
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 26
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 27
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 28
and after July 1, 2026. 29
