SENATE BILL NO. 3339
AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE TOWN OF BRUCE, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
CERTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 5
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 6
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Town of Bruce, 7
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with 8
certain infrastructure projects for the fiscal year beginning July 9
1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027.................. $ 2,900,000.00. 10
SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of 11
Section 1 of this act, the following amounts are to be allocated 12
as follows: 13
To defray costs of improvements and 14
upgrades to both of its parks............. $ 100,000.00 15
To defray costs of construction of 16
the town's police department.............. $ 1,000,000.00 17
To defray costs of the acquisition 18

To defray costs of the acquisition 26
of a fire truck for the town's 27
fire department........................... $ 750,000.00 28
To defray costs of repairs and 29
upgrades.................................. $ 75,000.00 30
To defray costs of repairs and 31
upgrades to the town's 32
sewer system.............................. $ 250,000.00 33
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 34
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 35
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 36
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 37
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 38
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 39
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 40
and after July 1, 2026. 41
