SENATE BILL NO. 3340
AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO YALOBUSHA COUNTY FOR THE 1
PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH CERTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE 2
PROJECTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 5
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 6
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to Yalobusha County for the 7
purpose of defraying costs associated with certain infrastructure 8
projects for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending 9
June 30, 2027...................................... $ 1,975,000.00. 10
SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of 11
Section 1 of this act, the following amounts are to be allocated 12
as follows: 13
To defray costs of improvements to and purchase of equipment 14
for the Velma Volunteer Fire Department............... $ 25,000.00. 15
To defray costs of construction of a new 911 call center and 16
emergency management center.......................... $ 750,000.00. 17
To defray costs of debris clean up after Winter Storm 18

ST: General Fund; FY2027 appropriation to
Yalobusha County for certain infrastructure
projects.
Fern............................................... $ 1,200,000.00. 19
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 20
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 21
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 22
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 23
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 24
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 25
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 26
and after July 1, 2026. 27
