SENATE BILL NO. 3347
AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF HOUSTON, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
CERTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 4
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 5
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 6
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City of Houston, 7
Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with 8
certain infrastructure projects for the fiscal year beginning July 9
1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027.................. $ 2,650,000.00. 10
SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of 11
Section 1 of this act, the following amounts are to be allocated 12
as follows: 13
To defray costs of the acquisition of 14
a ladder fire truck...................... $ 1,300,000.00. 15
To defray costs of repair and upgrades 16
to the Veterans Memorial Park at 17
Legion Lake............................... $ 600,000.00. 18

ST: General Fund; FY2027 appropriation to City
of Houston for certain infrastructure projects.
To defray costs of repair and resurfacing 19
of the roads around the Houston school.... $ 750,000.00. 20
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 21
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 22
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 23
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 24
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 25
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 26
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 27
and after July 1, 2026. 28
