SENATE BILL NO. 3379
AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO JACKSON COUNTY FOR THE 1
PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH CERTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE 2
PROJECTS TO PROMOTE AND SECURE DEVELOPMENT IN THE GULF PARK 3
ESTATES AREA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to Jackson County for the purpose 8
of defraying costs associated with certain infrastructure projects 9
to promote and secure development in the Gulf Park Estates area 10
for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 11
2027............................................... $ 4,000,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of 13
Section 1 of this act, the following amounts are to be allocated 14
as follows: 15
To defray costs of repair, replacement, 16
rehabilitation and/or expansion of 17
existing and proposed gravity sewer 18
system, wastewater lift stations 19

ST: General Fund; FY2027 appropriation to
Jackson County for certain infrastructure
projects.
and force mains and associated 20
infrastructure........................... $ 2,500,000.00. 21
To defray costs of repair, replacement, 22
rehabilitation and/or expansion of 23
existing and proposed water 24
distribution system...................... $ 1,500,000.00. 25
SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 26
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 27
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 28
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 29
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 30
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 31
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from 32
and after July 1, 2026. 33
