SENATE BILL NO. 3393

AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO VEDO KYLES OF 1
YAZOO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 3
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and 4
completely restored to Vedo Kyles of Yazoo County, Mississippi, 5
who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his convictions 6
of the crimes of possession of stolen goods and attempted armed 7
robbery in 1995 in Yazoo County, Mississippi, and who was 8
sentenced to serve three (3) years with two (2) years suspended 9
for each of two (2) counts of possession of stolen goods, and ten 10
(10) years for attempted armed robbery in the custody of the 11
Department of Corrections, all sentences to run concurrently. 12
He was released to parole on September 16, 1997, and 13
discharged on February 13, 2000. 14
The Legislature is informed that he has since conducted 15
himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and 16
lawful manner. 17

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 18
