SENATE BILL NO. 3405

AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO RAY GILLESPIE OF 1
OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 3
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and 4
completely restored to Ray Gillespie of Oktibbeha County, 5
Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his 6
conviction for the crime of armed robbery in Oktibbeha County. 7
The Mississippi Department of Corrections has represented 8
that after a complete search of its records that it does not have 9
any records for Ray Gillespie. 10
The Legislature is informed that he has since conducted 11
himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and 12
lawful manner. 13
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from 14
and after July 1, 2026. 15
