A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE 2026 INGOMAR 1
ATTENDANCE CENTER LADY FALCONS BASKETBALL TEAM AND HEAD COACH 2
TRENT ADAIR FOR WINNING THEIR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE MISSISSIPPI HIGH 3
SCHOOL CLASS 1A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. 4
WHEREAS, the Ingomar Lady Falcons girls basketball team won 5
their fourth consecutive high school girls basketball Class 1A 6
State Championship in March 2026, defeating Okolona 65-48 in the 7
Class 1A Title Game. This victory, spearheaded by Head Coach 8
Trent Adair, secured the program's 15th State Title; and 9
WHEREAS, this victory marks the fourth consecutive State 10
Title (spanning Classes 2A and 1A), totaling 15 championships, the 11
most in Mississippi High School girls basketball history. Before 12
the 2026 win, the team won the 2025 MHSAA Class 2A title, 13
defeating East Union 58-28. Ingomar girls basketball has 14
established one of the most successful dynasties in Mississippi 15
sports history; and 16
WHEREAS, the 2026 Ingomar Lady Falcons Championship 17
Basketball Team includes: Issie Riddle, Daylen Grisham, Tyrani 18
Jones, Rivers Ashley, Ansley Robbins, Carys Ball, Ella Hart 19

WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we again recognize a 23
girls basketball dynasty made up of elite student-athletes. They 24
have brought honor to their school, their community and to the 25
State of Mississippi: 26
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF 27
MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the 2026 28
Ingomar Lady Falcons Basketball Team and Head Coach Trent Adair 29
for winning their fourth consecutive Mississippi High School Class 30
1A State Championship and extend to the players, coaches, parents 31
and sponsors our best wishes for future championships. 32
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to 33
Head Coach Trent Adair and Ingomar Attendance Center Principal 34
Grant Goolsby for the team, forwarded to the Union County Board of 35
Education and made available to the Capitol Press Corps. 36
