A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING VIC A. GAUTHREAUX, 1
JR., FOR BEING SELECTED AS "INSTRUCTOR OF THE YEAR" AT THE 2
HARRISON COUNTY CAMPUS OF MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST COMMUNITY 3
COLLEGE. 4
WHEREAS, Vic A. Gauthreaux, Jr., a resident of Diamondhead, 5
Mississippi, has been selected as "Instructor of the Year" at 6
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in recognition of his 7
distinguished service to the college; and 8
WHEREAS, the award was established by the Alumni Association 9
of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to honor instructors, 10
and the recipient of the award is chosen from nominations 11
submitted by students, faculty and administrators on the basis of 12
his or her teaching excellence, college service, community service 13
and professional development; and 14
WHEREAS, Vic A. Gauthreaux, Jr., an Information Systems 15
Technology Instructor, has been employed at Mississippi Gulf Coast 16
Community College for the past ten years; and 17
WHEREAS, dedicated to academic excellence, Mr. Gauthreaux, 18
Jr., received his Associate of Applied Science degree from 19

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, a Bachelor of Science 20
degree from Western Governor's University and a Master of Science 21
in Information Technology from West Governor's University; and 22
WHEREAS, Mr. Vic A. Gauthreaux, Jr., has worked as a website 23
designer for Coast Services, and a field technician for 24
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College prior to his career as an 25
Information Technology Instructor at Mississippi Gulf Coast 26
Community College; and 27
WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize and commend 28
such an outstanding teacher as Mr. Gauthreaux, Jr., who has 29
dedicated his career to teaching the students of the State of 30
Mississippi: 31
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF 32
MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Mr. Vic A. 33
Gauthreaux, Jr., for being selected as "Instructor of the Year" at 34
the Harrison County Campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community 35
College and extend to him our most sincere wishes for success in 36
all his future endeavors. 37
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to 38
Mr. Vic A. Gauthreaux, Jr., forwarded to the President of 39
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and made available to the 40
Capitol Press Corps. 41
