SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 59
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE 2026 ST. 1
PATRICK LADY IRISH GIRLS SOCCER TEAM AND STANDOUT MEREDITH TINDELL 2
FOR THEIR FOUR-PEAT STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. 3
WHEREAS, on February 20, 2026, the St. Patrick High School 4
Girls Lady Irish Soccer Team from Biloxi, Mississippi, claimed 5
revenge for the 2021 squad, clinching a four-peat with a 2-0 Class 6
1 win; and 7
WHEREAS, before the boys State Championship game, the Lady 8
Irish claimed their fourth straight state title as they defeated 9
the Lady Saints 2-0. A loss would have been a first for St. 10
Patrick since November 11 against Ocean Springs, which saw them 11
drop 1-0. Since then, the Lady Irish posted an undefeated record 12
of 17-0-4. The four ties came against Gulfport, Petal, Clinton, 13
and Madison Central, all 7A competition; and 14
WHEREAS, it can be hard to translate regular season success 15
to the playoffs, but St. Patrick had no problem doing just that. 16
Their defense stepped up to hand the Our Lady Academy Crescents a 17
2-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the St. Patrick Lady 18

Irish Girls Soccer Team is getting used to it with its fifth in a 19
row; and 20
WHEREAS, standouts, Meredith Tindell and Bella Jordan scored 21
both of St. Patrick's goals, bringing their combined season tally 22
to 40 goals. St. Patrick's victory bumped their record up to 23
18-4-4; and 24

WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize these 36
student-athletes who have brought honor to their school, 37

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF 39
MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the 2026 40
St. Patrick Lady Irish Girls Soccer Team and standout Meredith 41
Tindell for their four-peat State Championship, and extend to the 42
