SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 60
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE 25 COACHES FROM ACROSS 1
MISSISSIPPI WHO HAVE BEEN CHOSEN FOR THE 2025-2026 "TOMORROW'S 25 2
COACHING FELLOWSHIP" CLASS. 3
WHEREAS, the Tomorrow's 25 Coaching Fellowship is presented 4
by the Mississippi Association of Coaches (MAC) and the 5
Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA); and 6
WHEREAS, the Tomorrow's 25 Coaching Fellowship Class seeks to 7
annually select and invest in 25 future leaders for Mississippi in 8
the area of high school and middle school athletics; and 9
WHEREAS, the following candidates were chosen for the 10
2025-2026 Tomorrow's 25 Coaching Fellowship Class: Ahmad 11
Alexander (East Tallahatchie School District); Shay Ashford (Amory 12
School District); Chris Bedenbaugh (Hattiesburg Public School 13
District); Shadejha Brown (Kemper County School District); Matt 14
DeFillips (Long Beach School District); Christine Demus (Yazoo 15
County School District); Pashonda Edwards (Tupelo Public School 16
District); Debrah Everett (Lauderdale County School District); 17
Margaret Falatko (DeSoto County Schools); Gina Fulton (Rankin 18

County School District); Carenzo George (Hinds County School 19
District); Lindsey Griffin (Western Line School District); 20

WHEREAS, with the announcement of the 2025–2026 cohort, the 31
State of Mississippi now celebrates a significant milestone as 100 32
coaches have completed or are participating in the Tomorrow's 25 33
Coaching Fellowship since its founding, reflecting a growing 34
statewide commitment to leadership development in amateur 35
athletics; and 36
WHEREAS, the cumulative impact of these 100 coaches extends 37
far beyond the playing field, positively influencing thousands of 38
student-athletes, strengthening school communities, and 39
contributing to the long-term cultural and civic vitality of the 40
State of Mississippi; and 41
WHEREAS, all 25 candidates were identified by a selection 42
committee and represent the best the state has to offer based on 43

Fellowship" Class.
their competency, character, and commitment to their school and 44
community; and 45
WHEREAS, the Tomorrow's 25 Coaching Fellowship seeks to 46
assist in three areas of growth for each candidate: Coaching the 47
Whole Athlete (Leadership, Resilience, Empathy, and 48
Responsibility), the opportunity to network with 24 of their peers 49
who have demonstrated the capacity to be the state's future 50
leaders in athletics, and access to current leaders in the 51
associations (MAC, MHSAA) and college athletics to learn how they 52
can grow their spheres of influence in their communities and 53
across the state; and 54
WHEREAS, the ultimate goal of the Tomorrow's 25 Coaching 55
Fellowship is for the selected candidates to deliberately work on 56
their craft in a cohort of their peers, so that ultimately their 57
student-athletes and overall communities benefit for years to 58
come: 59
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF 60
MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby congratulate the selected coaches 61
for the 2025-2026 Tomorrow's 25 Coaching Fellowship Class and 62
extend best wishes for continued success in the future. 63
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be transmitted 64
to the Mississippi Association of Coaches, the Mississippi High 65
School Activities Association, and the University of Mississippi's 66
School of Education, and be made available to the Capitol Press 67
Corps. 68
