JARRETT HOFFPAUIR FOR WINNING THE 2025 MAIS CLASS 6A BASEBALL 3
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP, THEIR FIRST-EVER STATE BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP. 4
WHEREAS, the Presbyterian Christian School (PCS) Bobcats 5
Baseball Team won their first-ever MAIS Class 6A Baseball State 6
Championship on May 17, 2025, defeating Hartfield Academy 9-4 in 7
the decisive Game 3 at Mississippi College's Frierson Field; and 8
WHEREAS, junior pitcher and Most Valuable Player (MVP) 9
Bankston Walters led the Bobcats with a dominant complete game 10
performance, while Reed Bridges sealed the win with a seventh 11
inning grand slam; and 12
WHEREAS, after a hard-fought series, seven-year Coach Jarrett 13
Hoffpauir noted it was "a long time coming" and praised the team's 14
dedication; and 15

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF 29
MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the 30
Presbyterian Christian School (PCS) Bobcats Baseball Team and 31
seven-year Coach Jarrett Hoffpauir for winning the 2025 MAIS Class 32
6A Baseball State Championship, their first-ever state baseball 33
championship, and extend best wishes of the Senate for future 34
