SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 69
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE COLUMBIA HIGH 1
SCHOOL WILDCATS FOOTBALL TEAM FOR WINNING THE 2025 MISSISSIPPI 2
HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION (MHSAA) CLASS 4A STATE 3
CHAMPIONSHIP. 4
WHEREAS, the Columbia High School Wildcats Football Team from 5
Marion County, Mississippi, distinguished itself during the 2025 6
football season by capturing the Mississippi High School 7
Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 4A State Championship, 8
earning statewide recognition for excellence in interscholastic 9
athletics; and 10
WHEREAS, the Wildcats concluded a remarkable postseason run 11
with a championship victory on December 5, 2025, at Davis Wade 12
Stadium in Starkville, Mississippi, defeating Kosciusko High 13
School to secure the Class 4A state title, demonstrating 14
discipline, resilience, and competitive excellence on 15
Mississippi's largest high school football stage; and 16
WHEREAS, throughout the regular season and playoffs, the 17
Wildcats consistently displayed a balanced and dominant style of 18
play, combining a strong defensive presence with timely and 19

effective offensive execution, as reflected in their decisive 20
victories during postseason competition; and 21
WHEREAS, the team's success was achieved through the 22
collective effort and commitment of its student-athletes, whose 23
hard work, sportsmanship, and perseverance exemplified the ideals 24
of Mississippi high school athletics; and 25
WHEREAS, the championship achievement of the Columbia High 26
School Wildcats Football Team was made possible through the 27
efforts of the student-athletes on the 2025 Class 4A State 28

Football Team on winning the 2025 MHSAA Class 4A
State Championship.
Doctor, Dr. Bert Beisel; and Team Managers: Quinlan Williams, 45
Jake Racadio, Damien Williams, Jakwon Lewis and Jamari Peters; and 46
WHEREAS, the 2025 Class 4A State Championship is a source of 47
pride for Columbia High School students, families, and supporters, 48
reinforcing the values of dedication and teamwork; and 49
WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize these 50
student-athletes who have brought honor to their school, their 51
county, and the State of Mississippi: 52
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF 53
MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the 54
Columbia High School Wildcats Football Team for winning the 2025 55
Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 4A State 56
Championship, and extend to the team, coaches, parents and 57
sponsors our best wishes for continued success in all their future 58
academic and athletic endeavors. 59
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to 60
the administration of Columbia High School, Head Coach Chip 61
Bilderback on behalf of the Wildcats Football Team, and made 62
available to the members of the Capitol Press Corps. 63
