SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 72
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE PRESBYTERIAN 1
CHRISTIAN SCHOOL (PCS) BOBCAT GOLF TEAM AND HEAD COACH DREW 2
MATTISON FOR WINNING THE 2025 MHSAA CLASS 3A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. 3
WHEREAS, on October 29, 2025, the Presbyterian Christian 4
School (PCS) Bobcat Golf Team won the 2025 MHSAA Class 3A 5
Championship with a total score of 616(+40); and 6
WHEREAS, the Bobcats finished 12 strokes ahead of runner-up 7
St. Patrick; and 8
WHEREAS, the team score 616(+40) was over two rounds (313 in 9
R1, 303 in R2). This championship win followed the team's move to 10
the MHSAA, where they continued to show strong performance in the 11
region; and 12
WHEREAS, the 2025 Presbyterian Christian School Golf Team in 13
Hattiesburg, Mississippi, is led by Head Coach Drew Mattison. The 14
roster features a competitive lineup, including John Walker 15
Brinson, Cannon Callaway, Cooper Callaway, Seth Hataway, Gunner 16
Papelbon, Charles Rogers, Hammond Sackler, Henson Sharpe, and Wade 17
Whitehead; and 18

Championship.
WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize these 19
student-athletes who have brought honor to their school, their 20
community and to the State of Mississippi: 21
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF 22
MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the 23
Presbyterian Christian School Bobcat Golf Team and Head Coach Drew 24
Mattison for winning the 2025 MHSAA Class 3A State Championship, 25
and extend to the team, coaches, parents and sponsors our best 26
wishes for continued success. 27
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to 28
Head Coach Drew Mattison and Head of School Jimmy Messer for the 29
team, forwarded to the PCS Board of Directors and made available 30
to the Capitol Press Corps. 31
