AN ACT
T o amend chapter 571, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the of fense of
unlawful use of a firearm by a minor , with penalty provisions.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 571, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be
2 known as section 571.034, to read as follows:
571.034. 1. A person under eighteen years of age commits the offense of
2 unlawful use of a fir earm by a minor if such person knowingly carries concealed upon
3 or about his or her person a fir earm.
4 2. The offense of unlawful use of a fir earm by a minor is a class D misdemeanor .
5 3. Upon conviction or a plea of guilty for an offense under this section, the court
6 shall order the immediate confiscation of the fir earm. The court may issue any other
7 order allowed under section 571.095 in felony cases, and the pr ocedur es outlined in
8 section 571.095 shall apply .
