  • 1883, Page 12, Section 144.030, Lines 2 401-407, by deleting all of said lines and inserting in lieu thereof the following: 3 4 "(b) Are used to produce, collect and transmit electricity for resale or retail; and 5 (47) All sales of used tangible personal property purchased by a consumer for use or 6 consumption, and not for resale, for valuable consideration directly from a seller at an auction of 7 used tangible personal property or from another consumer.
  • For the purposes of this section, 8 "used tangible personal property" is any tangible personal property that is sold a second time at 9 an auction or any number of additional subsequent times after the initial point of sale at an 10 auction, upon which a sales tax is levied.
  • The term "used tangible personal property" shall not 11 include motor vehicles, trailers, boats, or outboard motors purchased or acquired for use on the 12 highways or waters of this state that are required to be titled under the laws of the state of 13 Missouri."; and 14 15 Further amend said bill, Page 13, Section 144.615, Lines 21-27, by deleting all of said lines and 16 inserting in lieu thereof the following: 17 18 "consumption while temporarily within the state; and 19 (8) Used tangible personal property purchased by a consumer for use or consumption, 20 and not for resale, for valuable consideration directly from a seller at an auction of used tangible 21 personal property or from another consumer.

  • The citizens of this state, especially members of the general assembly, are 6 encouraged to participate in appropriate events and activities to reflect on the well-documented 7 fiscal and economic consequences experienced in neighboring states following the aggressive 8 elimination of income taxes, including persistent budget deficits, credit downgrades, cuts to 9 public education and infrastructure, and subsequent bipartisan legislative action taken to reverse 10 such policies, in order to promote prudent and evidence-based tax policy decisions in Missouri."; 11 and 12 13 Further amend said bill by amending the title, enacting clause, and intersectional references 14 accordingly.
