AN ACT
T o amend chapter 9, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to Ulysses S. Grant
day .
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 9, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be
2 known as section 9.406, to read as follows:
9.406. April twenty-seventh each year is her eby designated as "Ulysses S. Grant
2 Day" in Missouri. The citizens of this state are encouraged to participate in appr opriate
3 events and activities to celebrate the life of the Civil W ar general and eighteenth
4 pr esident of the United States, who made his home in St. Louis, Missouri, in the years
5 following his graduation fr om W est Point and before the Civil W ar .
