AN ACT
T o amend chapter 226, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the statewide
transportation improvement program.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 226, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be
2 known as section 226.032, to read as follows:
226.032. 1. Notwithstanding any pr ovision of law to the contrary , when
2 pr eparing the statewide transportation improvement prog ram (STIP), the department
3 of transportation shall prioritize the high priority corridors identified in Section 1 105(c)
4 of the Intermodal Surface T ransportation Efficiency Act of 1991, Pub. L. 102-240.
5 2. Notwithstanding any pr ovision of law to the contrary , any pro posed
6 amendments to the STIP within the implementation period shall be appr oved by the
7 joint committee on administrative rules.
