AN ACT
T o amend chapter 9, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to Samuel Dale
Brownback awareness day .
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 9, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be
2 known as section 9.505, to read as follows:
9.505. April fifteenth is hereb y designated as "Samuel Dale Br ownback
2 A war eness Day" in Missouri. The citizens of this state, especially members of the
3 general assembly , are encouraged to participate in appr opriate events and activities to
4 r eflect on the well-documented fiscal and economic consequences experienced in
5 neighboring states following the aggress ive elimination of income taxes, including
6 persistent budget deficits, cr edit downgrades, cuts to public education and
7 infrastructur e, and subsequent bipartisan legislative action taken to reverse such
8 policies, in order to promot e prudent and evidence-based tax policy decisions in
9 Missouri.
