AN ACT
T o amend chapter 252, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to hunting permits.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 252, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be
2 known as section 252.047, to read as follows:
252.047. 1. The commission shall not requ ire any res ident or nonr esident
2 landowner , as such terms are defined by rules pr omulgated by the commission, to
3 r egister the landowner's pr operty before receivi ng any landowner hunting permit or to
4 possess any hunting permit to take wildlife on the landowner's pr operty . Any existing
5 or futur e req uirement for a landowner to regist er the landowner's pr operty to re ceive
6 any landowner hunting permit is hereb y void.
7 2. The commission shall issue any landowner hunting permit requ ested by any
8 r esident or nonr esident landowner who owns at least five acr es of rea l prop erty and
9 r equests such landowner hunting permit.
10 3. (1) As used in this subsection, the term "immediate family member of the
11 landowner" means a landowner's spouse, child, stepchild, sibling, stepsibling, par ent,
12 steppar ent, grandpar ent, grandchild, and any person in an adoptive rela tionship with
13 the landowner .
14 (2) A landowner who qualifies for any landowner hunting permit under this
15 section may requ est any hunting permit authorizing the taking of wildlife on the
16 landowner's pr operty for a specified two-day period on behalf of one nonr esident
17 immediate family member of the landowner . No mor e than one r equest shall be made in
18 a calendar year under this subsection.

19 (3) The commission shall issue such hunting permit upon req uest. Such permit
20 shall be pr ovided fr ee of charge.
