AN ACT
T o amend chapter 226, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the statewide
transportation improvement program.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 226, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be
2 known as section 226.036, to read as follows:
226.036. 1. Notwithstanding any prov ision of law to the contrary , all planned
2 expenditur es included in the statewide transportation impr ovement prog ram (STIP)
3 shall specify the county in which each project is to be performed and include itemized
4 expenditur es and expenses for each pr oject.
5 2. After any pr oject included in the STIP is completed, the department of
6 transportation shall submit an itemized expenditure repo rt to each county with a
7 pr oject located within its jurisdiction.
8 3. No later than January 1, 2027, and each year ther eafter , the department of
9 transportation shall make a r eport to the general assembly detailing the department's
10 expenditur es for pr ojects in the STIP , which shall include an itemization of such
11 expenditur es organized by county .
