AN ACT
T o amend chapter 9, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to Kit Bond day .
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 9, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be
2 known as section 9.508, to read as follows:
9.508. Mar ch sixth each year is hereb y designated as "Kit Bond Day" in
2 Missouri. The citizens of this state are encouraged to participate in appr opriate events
3 and activities to honor the life and legacy of Christopher "Kit" Bond, a Missourian who
4 dedicated his life to public service and the betterment of the state of Missouri, serving as
5 the state auditor fro m 1971 to 1973, the governor fr om 1973 to 1977 and 1981 to 1985,
6 and as a United States Senator fr om Missouri fr om 1987 to 201 1.
