AN ACT
T o amend chapter 1 15, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to publication of
certain records by local election authorities.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 1 15, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be
2 known as section 1 15.1700, to read as follows:
1 15.1700. 1. As used in this section the term "cast vote record (CVR)" shall
2 mean an electr onic re cord of a voter's ballot selections creat ed using an electr onic voting
3 device, ballot marking device, ballot-counting scanner , or other similar device.
4 2. Local election authorities may publish on their websites images of voted
5 ballots, including the ballot's cast vote reco rd, pro vided that any personally identifiable
6 information on such ballot and CVR has been r edacted.
7 3. Ballot images and CVRs may be reta ined in the same manner as other election
8 r ecords ar e r etained under the pr ovisions of section 1 15.493.
