AN ACT
T o amend chapter 37, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to spending by state
departments.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 37, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be
2 known as section 37.1 1 10, to read as follows:
37.1 1 10. 1. This section shall be known and may be cited as the "State Fiscal
2 Responsibility Pr eservation Act".
3 2. All state departments shall exhaust all funding sources including, but not
4 limited to, federal funds, dedicated funds, or any other source of funding before
5 spending funds allocated fr om general r evenue.
6 3. The pr ovisions of this section shall not apply to federal funds that requ ire
7 matching funds to be allocated by the state.
