AN ACT
T o amend chapter 8, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to assemblies at
public buildings.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 8, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be
2 known as section 8.995, to read as follows:
8.995. 1. W earing a mask or otherwise covering one's face shall be proh ibited at
2 any assembly occurring in or on the groun ds of a public building.
3 2. The pr ovisions of this section shall not apply to:
4 (1) A mask or facial covering for the purpose of ensuring one's physical health
5 and safety or the health and safety of others including, but not limited to, limiting the
6 spr ead of airborne illnesses; or
7 (2) A mask or facial covering worn for relig ious purposes.
