WHEREAS, our nation's veterans selflessly served our country; and

3 WHEREAS, one expression of gratitude for this selfless service is veterans homes,
4 which provide necessary long term care to eligible veterans; and

6 WHEREAS, reimbursement from the United States Department of V eterans Af fairs
7 often falls short of meeting the actual expenses for providing certain high cost medications
8 and treatments to veterans residing in veterans' homes:

10 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL VED that the members of the House of
11 Representatives of the One Hundred Third General Assembly , Second Regular Session, the
12 Senate concurring therein, hereby urg e Congress to pass H.R. 1970, which would require the
13 United States Department of V eterans Af fairs to provide full reimbursement to veterans'
14 homes or directly furnish certain high-cost, specialized medications for severely disabled
15 veterans; and

17 BE IT FUR THER RESOL VED that the Chief Clerk of the Missouri House of
18 Representatives be instructed to prepare a properly inscribed copy of this resolution for the
19 members of the Missouri congressional delegation.
