WHEREAS, the General Assembly has a tradition of granting the use of the House of
2 Representatives and Senate Chambers for mock legislative workshops conducted by civic
3 or ganizations; and

5 WHEREAS, the Missouri Y outh Leadership Forum for Students with Disabilities,
6 under the direction of the Missouri Governor's Council on Disability , is a unique career
7 leadership training program for high school Juniors and Seniors with disabilities; and
8
9 WHEREAS, the Missouri Y outh Leadership Forum for Students with Disabilities is
10 the only forum designed for students with disabilities in Missouri. Y outh delegates are
11 selected from their local communities to cultivate leadership, citizenship, social, and career
12 development skills at this summer program:

14 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL VED that we, the members of the Missouri
15 House of Representatives, One Hundred Third General Assembly , hereby grant the Missouri
16 Y outh Leadership Forum for Students with Disabilities permission to use the House Chamber
17 on Thursday , July 16, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. to conduct a mock legislative
18 session.

20 BE IT FUR THER RESOL VED that the sponsor of this House Resolution,
21 Representative Raychel Proudie, or her designee, shall be present in the House Chamber and
22 shall assume responsibility for the group's actions for the duration of the aforementioned
23 event.

25 Special note: Participants in the aforementioned event shall conduct themselves in a manner
26 that preserves the dignity and honor of the House of Representatives. Such persons shall
27 behave respectfully and dress appropriately for the occasion. Food items, drinks, and
28 smoking are prohibited on the floor of the House and lower gallery , and participants shall
29 refrain from any conduct that diminishes the decorum of the House Chamber .
30 Access to the dais is limited to the Speaker's podium for purposes of using the
31 microphone to speak to those assembled. Access to the staff area behind the rostrum is
32 prohibited.
33 Group photographs; the hanging of any banners or other items on the walls, curtains,
34 or any surface within the House Chamber; and the use of any equipment, including
35 computers, phones, or other items on the dais and rostrum area, are also prohibited.
