SB 1008 - This act authorizes the Attorney General to appoint commissioned and noncommissioned investigators. Commissioned investigators shall take an oath of office, shall comply with all peace officer standards, and shall receive a certificate of appointment, a copy of which shall be filed with the Secretary of State, providing for the same powers of arrest of peace officers in any matter in which the Attorney General is appointed or assigned. Additionally, commissioned investigators may assist law enforcement agencies.
