AN ACT
To amend chapters 67 and 162, RSMo, by adding thereto three new sections relating to political
subdivisions.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapters 67 and 162, RSMo, are amended by 1
adding thereto three new sections, to be known as sections 2
67.011, 67.015, and 162.016, to read as follows:3
67.011. No one elected to serve as a county officer in 1
this state shall serve more than twelve years total. In 2
applying this section, service as a county officer resulting 3
from an election prior to August 28, 2026, or service of 4
less than two years by a person elected after August 28, 5
2026, to complete the term of another person, shall not be 6
counted. 7
67.015. No one elected to serve as mayor of any city 1
in this state shall serve more than twelve years total. In 2
applying this section, service as a mayor resulting from an 3
election prior to August 28, 2026, or service of less than 4
two years by a person elected after August 28, 2026, to 5
complete the term of another person, shall not be counted. 6
162.016. No one elected to serve as member of a school 1
board in this state shall serve more than twelve years 2
total. In applying this section, service as a member of a 3
school board resulting from an election prior to August 28, 4
