AN ACT
To amend chapter 167, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to feminine hygiene
products in schools.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 167, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto 1
one new section, to be known as section 167.961, to read as 2
follows:3
167.961. 1. As used in this section, "feminine 1
hygiene product" means tampons, sanitary napkins, menstrual 2
sponges, menstrual cups, and similar menstrual hygiene 3
products. 4
2. All public schools and public charter schools that 5
include any of grades four through twelve shall make at 6
least one type of age-appropriate feminine hygiene product 7
available in each school building for use by female students 8
at no cost. 9
3. Each local board of education or public charter 10
school governing body shall adopt policies: 11
(1) Establishing procedures for the distribution of 12
age-appropriate feminine hygiene products for use by female 13
students and related guidance regarding the safe and healthy 14
use of the products; and 15

(2) Prohibiting the resale, redistribution, or misuse 16
of feminine hygiene products distributed to female students 17
in accordance with this section. 18
