AN ACT
To repeal section 21.110, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to special
elections for vacancies in the general assembly.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Section 21.110, RSMo, is repealed and one new 1
section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 21.110, 2
to read as follows:3
21.110. If the governor receives any resignation or 1
notice of vacancy, or if he is satisfied of the death of any 2
member of either house, during the recess, he shall, without 3
delay, issue a writ of election to supply the vacancy. Such 4
election shall be held at least fifty days but not more than 5
six months after receipt of the resignation or notice of 6
vacancy by the governor. 7
