AN ACT
To repeal section 478.630, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to associate
circuit judges in the twentieth judicial circuit.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Section 478.630, RSMo, is repealed and one new 1
section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 478.630, 2
to read as follows:3
478.630. 1. There shall be two circuit judges in the 1
twentieth judicial circuit consisting of the counties of 2
Franklin, Gasconade and Osage. These judges shall sit in 3
divisions numbered one and two. 4
2. The circuit judge in division two shall be elected 5
in 1980. The circuit judge in division one shall be elected 6
in 1982. 7
3. There shall be one additional associate circuit 8
judge in Franklin County. This associate circuit judge 9
shall not be included in the statutory formula for 10
authorizing additional associate circuit judges per county 11
as provided under section 478.320. The governor shall 12
appoint such judge, and that judge shall serve until January 13
1, 2029. An associate circuit judge shall be elected in 14
2028. 15
