AN ACT
To amend chapter 191, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to diagnosis of uterine
cancer.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 191, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto 1
one new section, to be known as section 191.945, to read as 2
follows:3
191.945. 1. This section shall be known and may be 1
cited as "Cindi's Law". 2
2. All abnormal cytological or histological 3
endometrial samples shall, in addition to any other testing, 4
include a p53 test for purposes of diagnosis and treatment 5
of uterine cancer. 6
3. As used in this section, the following terms mean: 7
(1) "Endometrial sampling", a procedure to collect 8
tissue from the uterine lining for diagnostic purposes; 9
(2) "p53 test", a test used to detect the presence and 10
pattern of abnormalities in the p53 protein in tissue 11
samples, which indicate the invasiveness, severity, and 12
prognosis for various cancers. 13
